2005
Purogene Labs Pvt. Ltd. (Formerly Known as R CHEM (Somanahalli) Pvt. Ltd.) was established in Humnabad
2008
Received the prestigious Green Chemistry Award for the breakthrough effort involving mercaptan handling for the stage of Ranitidine Base
2010
Success scaled up Ranitidine to become one of the largest manufacturers of Ranitidine in the world
2017
Demerged Parent SMS Group into two entities – SMS Pharmaceuticals and SMS Lifesciences – Purogene continues to serve both demerged entities independently.
2018
Successfully completed USFDA audit and received EIR.
2018
Successfully completed PMDA-Japan Audit and received their certification
2020
Added products and capacity enhanced to move from a single-product facility to a multi-product facility.
2021
Established state-of-the-art DSIR approved R&D and Analytical Development Center at Sanathnagar, Hyderabad in collaboration with SMS Lifesciences.
2022
Change of management and 100% ownership by Promoters of SMS Lifesciences.
2023
Completed 7 new product validations and scaled up product offerings and CMO services adding several new customers.
2024
Rebranded the company to Purogene Labs Private Limited to increase the scope and quality of service offerings to customers.
2024
Groundbreaking done to establish a greenfield facility and enhance the intermediate and manufacturing capacity nearly 3-fold from current 120 KL to 300 KL.
2025
Inaugurated new utility block to improve efficiency and to cater to increased production capacity in future.
