Scaling Renewable Energy & Fuels
Purogene Labs is embracing the use of renewable energy generation, significantly reducing our reliance on fossil fuels for manufacturing activities.
- Sustainable Power: We are targeting to achieve up to 50% renewable energy by 2029 with the installation and commercialization of our new Solar Power Park. Our ultimate goal is to achieve 100% renewable energy fuel sources by 2035 for all manufacturing activities at Purogene Labs.
- Sustainable Transportation: We are also committed to expanding the use of renewable fuels and energy for transportation.
This proactive approach reaffirms Purogene’s dedication to driving environmental stewardship, setting an example for how industries can transition to renewable energy sources and achieve lasting sustainability goals.
Scaling Recycled and Upcycled Raw Materials
Purogene Labs is a proud participant in the circular economy, actively minimizing the environmental impact of raw materials and reducing GHG emissions.
- Circular Economy Focus: Our projects are designed with the purpose of recycling solvents, generated waste, and decarbonizing other high-growth industries.
- Reduced Dependency: We are steadfast in our efforts to scale up the consumption of recycled and upcycled raw materials, reducing dependency on virgin materials and minimizing our environmental footprint.
- Green Chemistry & Sustainable Products: We continuously invest in Research & Development to explore and implement greener chemical processes and sustainable raw materials where feasible.
Our Long-term sustainability vision is underpinned by these core commitments:
- Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi): We are committed to aligning our emissions reduction targets with climate science through the SBTi framework.
- Innovation & Responsibility: All teams are empowered and encouraged to develop eco-friendly and commercially viable alternatives.
- Tree Plantation Drives: We continue and expand our tree plantation drives in and around our facilities and local communities to contribute to local green cover.
